Pilgrimage to Palestine/Israel ~ I’ve been unable to begin this sharing with you. Each time I start, tears come ~ maybe healing will begin as I tell some of the story.

Highlights: Part 1 - week-long conference in Jerusalem
1 - Welcomed into the Sabeel (Palestinian Liberation Theology) 25th Anniversary community ~ being used as song, worship, choir leaders. Making new friends in Christ locally and internationally (250 participants)
2 - Ofer Prison vigil with lawyer, Gerard Horton discussing "Breaking a Generation: Children in Israeli Military Detention". ~ children arrested, questioned and detained for 2 to 6 months for throwing stones.
3 - trip to The Negev (southern Israel) - 40,000 Bedouin threatened with removal from ancestral lands by the Prawer Plan
4 - good memories ~ walking in old Jerusalem, leading worship in churches and at the Jordan River, sharing time with friends.
